So I have nearly rehabbed an early 1950s Triumph (rod front brakes with a fixed rear) and I think that brown leather panniers would, as the dude would say, really tie the whole thing together. A quick internet search yielded some sweet brooks bags for about 300 bones. Yeah right! Anyone else know of options? Anyone have a set they want to get rid of (Robert?)? Thanks for the help. I'd be willing to pay $100 bucks for something that was in good shape.

velo orange would definitely be the place to find something like that.

Shane, I don't have any bike panniers but I have some leather saddlebags from my motorcycle that you could have if you thought you could do something with them.

Thanks John,

I would love to take a look at them. Shoot me a pm or call me and I will swing by the shop and look at them. Thanks again.

A old bro told me it was super easy to buy used horse saddlebags off Ebay and modify them. Actually, that may have been Matt Hassman.

That's true, a customer at the shop scored a set from some tack shop down round Nicholasville. If I remember correctly I think he paid about 70$ for them new. They looked good also.
