This event is months away, but I thought it was nice to see a reference to Lexington on Urban Velo.

Our friend Jimmy is taking part in The Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 150 mile ride from Louisville to Lexington and back, through Kentucky’s famed Bluegrass Region on the weekend of September 26-27, 2009. He survived Neuroblastoma some 15 years ago, and wants to make sure others have the same fighting chance.

It would be cool to see Lexrides.com do this as a team event... but I think each person has to raise $2,500 to qualify to ride. Never had any experience with that, so I don't know how difficult that is to do. _________________ ------------[] O |

I'd be up to be a part of the team.
Anyone else out there want to think about doing this as a team? |

I would seriously consider it as long as someone else can handle the organizing. I'm afraid it will be enough for me just to raise all that sponsor money. _________________ ------------[] O |

I just talked to someone from the ride.
Yes, even as a team each individual has to raise $2,500. You can still ride if you don't raise all the money but you have to still work on raising the money after the ride.
Dunno, it seems like $2,500 would be rough to raise in these times. |

that's pretty lame having to come up with $2500 each. think of how many more riders they would get if they didnt have to get that much. oh well, organize your own ride. |

If we finish the 150 miles in one day, can we ride for half price? |
