bike prowler on the loose.
my old mavic wheel was stolen out of my car, which was parked 3 deep in our driveway. they took nothing but the wheel. we were all home.
few days later my neigbor's bike went missing from their shed (old red specialized hardrock) but they only took 1 out of 5 bikes and scalped only some of their loose parts but left everything else as well.
if you live near the southland drive/rosemont garden/clays mill are, i'd say get your shit locked down like fort knox because someone's watching closely.
we all know there's a little place in hell reserved for bike thieves. where the tv's have nothing but billy mays infomercials and everyone has to ride a dynacraft bike. _________________ natasha |

I don't know if this is the same person, but there is a bike posted today in clays mill area for only $25. It looked in decent condition and $25 seems low, like a price you would sell it if you stole it. |

If I could see details on the tires, I'd say that Green Giant (pun intended) came into Scheller's today for air. If you've lost that one recently, I'd be glad to hold onto a serial number in case he comes in again.
Also had a transient come in yesterday with a blue 15 yr old cannondale MTB being sold for $30. He then professed to me how he was "finding parts here and there and selling bikes to pay rent" and "It sure does beat getting up at 4 in the morning to work for those pimps at the temp agency". GOD...DAMN...IT. |

next time you see him, tell him that getting his skull pounded by a bunch of pissed off cyclists who've caught him in the act isn't much better of an option either. _________________ ------------[] O |
