my friend edgar has come up with a brilliant concept.
he bought a pack of ChoreBoy copper scrubbers from krogers for $1.49. he puts a bandana over his mouth, put the choreboy over the bandana and then folds the bandana over the choreboy. (so the choreboy is not directly touching his mouth)

The choreboys are made of copper, which easily retains heat and is naturally antibacterial. when you exhale, it traps the warm air and when you inhale, the air is warmed by the copper, thus alliviating frozen lungs. this works so much better than a scarf or bandana alone.
