Mine was pretty damn good.

Weather was perfect and about 3/4 of the way to work a box truck went by me on Richmond Rd and knocked a big cloud of white tree blossoms into the air. Riding through it made me feel like a pretty pretty princess.

We did that a number of times last summer.

There are commuter breakfasts scheduled for Thursday mornings during May.
Check www.bikelexington.com I am not sure if it is updated yet but it will be soon.

Cheers

Note the commuter breakfast locations and times are wrong. They will be updated shortly. These are the locations from last year and most of these places do not open until at least 8. The website should be updated shortly.

Thanks Jkizzle for posting the times and locations. I will post the updated information ASAP

I hope to see you there Jkizzle

ommuter Advocacy Breakfasts
Join other commuters for a relaxing breakfast downtown every Thursday of the month. We’ll be there from 7:30 to 9:00 am discussing a variety of bike advocacy topics. Commuting on a bicycle not only improves health but also saves money on fuel, helps the environment, allows you to avoid traffic congestion, and let’s not forget that is a lot of fun!

* May 8 Sunrise Bakery – 119 W. Main, 8-9am

The Xtra-welder-cycle looks like it should have some kind of plasma based turbo boost action going on.

Recycling this thread to start the official unofficial Coldest Commute '08 challenge.

I rode to work in 27 degrees last week. On a BMX bike. Because I'm hardcore.*

actually the BMX was a pretty good choice. The more you'll have to pedal like crazy to get to where you're going, the more body heat you'll build up.

I tend to default to the fat tire cruiser with 15" risers when it is cold and usually ride it standing up the whole time. My legs don't like to bend when it is below freezing for some reason. Oh yeah, because I'm old.
