Wow, it has been a great month in Lexington for bikes. Especially the coverage on the news channels and on in the HL. Keep up the momentum.

It is also important to note the importance that biking can bring to an economy, as seen in portland primarly, but is also being seen around the country in cities like Chicago, Seattle, New York, Santa Barbara, Tucson, etc. These cities are creating a great deal of jobs in the bicycle industry. As fuel continues to rise and the demand for bicycles continues, I would not be suprised to see other cities really embrace to economic impact that bicycles can bring.

Not taking sides or anything, but I found this quote by Obama (and its context) to be encouraging --

"It's time that the entire country learn from what's happening right here in Portland with mass transit and bicycle lanes and funding alternative means of transportation. That's the kind of solution that we need for America."
