um, that depends on what you mean by both "militant", and "enthusiast".
Are there people in Lexington who are almost "militant" in their enthusiasm for bikes? Absolutely. Most of them hang out here on this forum, and take part in as many of the local bike events and activities as possible.
Are there jackasses who sometimes ride bikes and act "militant" while doing so? Certainly. But I can guarantee that you cannot call those same people "bike enthusiasts". |

who went on the ride today. really wanted to go but the semester is drawing to a close. that reminds me pretty soon there will be a few thousand fewer cars on the roads when the students leave. I just lifted my own spirits. _________________ Albert Einstein trembled when he found out time was water. Seeping through the rafters to put out this burning world. |

Gorgeous ride today. 7 people came out for a fun ride out KY1973. We did 20 miles and set distance records for 2 people. We also had a great time building bike sculptures yesterday. Cools pics of these can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jarahjones/
Bike Month Begins this week! Commuter breakfast on Thursday.

the bike sculptures were cool, i was hoping to build up a sweet wheel sort of like one i saw someone carrying around, but by the time i got back up there you all had left. there were lots of people checking stuff out after wards though and hopefully it got people thinking a bit.

that's me and my wife, Sara. Thanks for the kind words.
You should've come up and introduced yourself... that's where many of us here were hanging out and stashing our bikes. I'm sure there were others who would've enjoyed the opportunity to meet.
Currently, you can only get our stuff through our site and etsy... I need to make lots of new guy's shirts anyway because we were out of all the ones people were asking about. |
