Hey everyone!

So it's confirmed: Lexington will be hosting the next Ladies Army Tournament (a ladies only bike polo tourny) along with a Co-Ed tourny the Friday before.

There has been some talk about having the tourny around Derby/Keeneland time so travelers can check out some horse racing while they're in Kentucky. Does anyone have dates that they absolutely cannot commit to? Or dates they would prefer? I was thinking the weekend before Derby so that we could maybe have a ride out to Keeneland the Thursday before the tourny. Thoughts???

Also, please let me know if you are interested in helping plan/run L.A. I'm sure we ladies will do most of the planning but could really use some help from the fellas to run Sat and Sun so we can play.

So the 2012 Derby Schedule is the following:

Oaks - Friday, May 4th
Derby - Saturday, May 5th (Cinco de Mayo!)

which means Keeneland's closing day will probably be Friday, April 27th.

I know that the Derby gets all the hype, but I honestly think people would have a better time checking out Keeneland the Thursday before the tourny because you can actually SEE the horses race and not pay a bajillion dollars just to sit in an infield. What do you all think?

So I propose we have the co-ed tourny on Friday the 27th and L.A. Swiss Rounds on Saturday the 28th and L.A. Double Elim on Sunday the 29th.

As far as planning meetings go, it would probably be wise to have a meeting in October to get things rolling before holiday season swamps our lives. More info soon.

I've been in contact with some of the polo players from Japan and they will most likely be sending a few ladies in for Ladies' Army. I'll be here still so I'll translate for them.

I want to be a big part of this, I also want ALL the Lex ladies playing. So the weekend of the tourny I dont any woman polo player doing anything except playing awesome polo!

Fellas we need to make sure this happens (above) this is there weekend and we need to be there hand and foot. not only cheering SUPER hard but also make sure they have no worries about the tourny it's self, or anything other than who they play next.

I love you girls and we are going to make this the tightest shit ever!!!
