Hopefully the picture shows up. Doing this all over my phone. This is a rough drawing of what I have in mind for the goals.
Total length of material per goal is 22ft.
$365 total for six goals, that's $60 per goal which is dirt cheap for something this solid.
There will be some conduit on the back to hold the net up. Conduit is dirt cheap so that's not calculated into the cost or length of material. |

ya the big tubing is 2'' OD, and 1/8'' wall thickness. i'm not sure what size conduit i'll go for, maybe 3/4 if i can get it to bend with out kinking it. all the trailers i make are 1/2 and it bends easy. i've tried 3/4 before and had some slight issues putting 90 degree bends in it.
at first my design was the same, but all 2'' steel tube. but my calculations came out that the total cost was going to be really pricey. that was with the initial price that i was quoted for just one 20ft. stick of 2'' round tube. when i got the quote for the total amount of round tube it was a hell of a lot cheaper. so if anybody isn't digging the conduit idea, i could change it back. not sure how much more they would be. |

Chris posted that above under my name... but yeah, I think this is something that everyone wants to vote on anyway. Those dimensions up there look huge - how far apart are the cones? and 3 feet high is at my seat.
We spoke about this for a while on Tuesday. It would be nice to narrow it down to a few possible designs, weigh out the pros and cons, and vote on it. Safety and simplicity is what I'm looking for. _________________ T$ |

All of this has been discussed all ready on the hardcourt forums by a much larger community of folks. All dimensions are what have been thoroughly discussed on that thread. There was never an official consensus on dimensions, but after reading thing over repeatedly, this is roughly the size all the goals are made to. Give or take an inch or two. |
