I forgot to mention that I was able to plug the race and Lexington bike culture in general on WRFL this morning (I was a guest on Mick Jeffries' show today).
A couple of folks called in asking about it after we mentioned the race...
we even got a call about Yellow Bikes, although I think it was a prank call. |

Hey, Gwenda said she heard you on her way to work!
She didn't mentioned that she'd prank called you, though. _________________ http://www.lexingtonbikeracecalendar.com |

OPERATION LOVERBOY commences in less than 24 hours. If you haven't found a valentine on your own, don't give up on love. Come to Kenwick Park and let the OPERATION LOVERBOY MATCHMAKER find you a valentine quicker than a heartbeat.
Registration starts at 1:30 PM and racing commences at 2:05 PM. Fee is $5 per racer or $10 per two person team. All teams MUST, I repeat, MUST HAVE A DIGITAL CAMERA OR CAMERA PHONE. Teams may also want a phone and a pen. Race checkpoints will not be disclosed. They are embedded in clues. Each team will need a Lexingtonian. More info at www.lexrides.com
The answer to last weeks sample clue... Word Scramble: KENTUCKY THEATER
As you consider the race day forecast, I leave you with the words of our Commander-in-Chief, "YOUR EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US!" |

Thanks to everybody for coming out and racing on such a cold, windy day! A special thanks to CRICKET PRESS, GHOSTSHIP, LYNAGH'S PUB, and PEDAL THE PLANET for race sponsorship. Brian, Sara, Elizabeth, and Kremena, I'm grateful for all your help.
I saw a lot of creative pictures yesterday. Post your race pictures on this thread. |
