lace up some spokes...I was about 20 feet from home last nite and ran over a finger width stick and blew out 2 of my spokes...and dinged 2 more so ive got 4 spokes to go in there...I pulled teh rim tape off and put in 1 and realized i would probably have to release tension on all of em ...and also that i am a bit out of my bike knowledge league here...
any help is appreciated Shocked

we break spokes all the time in bike polo. Replacing them is fairly simple, assuming that you have the right replacement spokes, and you have a few tools to make it easier.

Of course, it's easier to do if you've removed the tire and tube, but I've replaced spokes very carefully by just unthreading the spoke from the nipple and threading a new one in (using some vice-grips to hang onto the nipple to keep it from falling into the rim.

I modified an old plain screwdriver to work as a nipple driver by filing the edges down a bit narrower, and filing a notch into the end of the head. Make sure you have the right size spoke wrench too. You shouldn't have to take the tension out of the rest of the wheel... just make sure you start by looking at how the rest of the spokes are laced, and use that as a guide for how to put the new ones in. If you can see a bit of thread on the rest of your spokes (where they go into the nipple), then you can get close by making the new ones look like the rest of them... stick that wheel in a truing stand, or use your brakes as a reference point, true it up and you're good to go.

There's tons of info online on how to properly true your wheel if you're not sure how to do that.

the best general purpose road tires, IMO.

With a new chain you might want to look into a new cassette too, right?

Or is the other way around, new casette means get a new chain?

I cant remember.

Word, I got 9 tubes and 4 gator skins ( 700 x 23 c (2) and 700 x28 (2))

Set me back a little but I was about 1,000 miles over due on tires for my road bike.

Thanks Pedal Power for the sale!
