Damn, I got lastpage'd:

Hey all, my name is Garrett Shane Bryant and where better to make my first post than here?

Just found out about this place today after following Cricket Press on flickr and finally asking, "Hey, how I can I find out more about the bike happenings in my old haunt, Lexington?"

You see, I used to live in your town, my favorite place I've ever lived actually, back around the turn of the century. I went to UK, held down some late nights on 'RFL, was a part of 'The Great Cut Corner Takeover' when I worked at/on CD Central for several years, drank like a man at Busters (pretty sure they demolished my wrinkled still-unpaid $200+ tab along with the building), and was a general man-about-town before moving to Louisville, then Montreal for a while before landing back home in the east end of Kentucky-slash-Huntington, WV where I now reside.

Been riding lots for a few years now, however not in a professional way, more in a get-around-town kinda way while trying to lose some weight. Well, weight has been lost (LOTS) and this year have finally gotten into road bikes, big-boy bmxs and of course fixies.

Not too much happening here, but I do have a crew of local 6-8 riders/friends that are always up for finding more like-minded folks and taking some road trips, so.....

Hats off to y'all, let's do this.

edit: and may i suggest something that has helped tons on other community b-boards i've participated in? allow your participants to have an avatar/image under their name and strongly suggest people put their actual face there... it really helps when you're an outsider stepping in!

So Garrett do you all play polo there in Huntington? if not this would be the perfect time to start we have a tournament in the Bluegrass State Games!!! http://bikelexington.com/lexrides/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=992
This would be a great way for you to meet alot of the cyclists around town.

I'm Clay. I'm around sometimes. I split my time between our fine commonwealth and Taxachusetts. When my tibia isn't broken, I ride a Pake with a disc brake covered in Kentucky stickers, or a black and yellow Lemond, or the only Diamondback Topanga in the world with hydraulic disks and Campy cranks.

I look kind of like this, only I'm currently clean shaven. (Hey ladies)

My name is Josh. Good to meet you all. I ride an Aluminum Langster by Specialized. I only like to ride fixed gear. I ride all the time but I have never done the Alleycat thing. PM me if you want to ride sometime. I enjoy a plethora of music.

my name's christina buckner. aka xtina, c.t. (if you're drew), bucky, buckface, motherbuckner, and any other variation of puns people make using a certain curse word that rhyme with my last name.

my main ride is a white, single speed origin8 i built up that you might recognize as drewble's old polo frame. you can also find me on an old dark grey, 5-speed fuji during bad weather or trips to the grocery/library.

don't have many accurate mugshots since chopping my hair off, so i guess you'll just have to run into me... but not literally, please.

I'm Annie. I prefer to ride other people's bikes because mine are stolen frequently- regardless of security. It's a curse I must live with. Catch me obnoxiously hogging the bathroom mirror at your local dive bar for profile pictures. I don't really want them, I do it to annoy you. Feel free to jump in on them. So....that's where I'll be. Holla back

Dusting this thread off since i'm new.

My name is Brandon. I like lots of music (http://www.last.fm/user/BrandonShaffner) and I also like to ride bikes. Currently cruising on a 10-speed Schwinn road bike. Say hello to me if you see me around!

This is an odd-angled picture of my face:
