Alright I am getting all the prizes in, so everyone better show up. This week I got the stuff from the bike shop in Shelbyville. They really hooked us up with some great bicycle gear for prizes and a lot of coupons for the shop to give away. Also, Bleed Blue Tattoo has given a $100 gift certificate for a prize.

everyone who has ever done a "Rich Race" knows what you are getting in to. In fact I always love the longer races. But when Rich apologizes when he hands you the manifest you should take a moment.

Lets just say, "wow that is what Spindeltop looks like during an alley cat!"

So I made it to 9 of the 13 stops and realized I was not gonna make the cur off of 3 hours. I just mapped my ride and that was at roughly mile 27. My legs were not ready for 27 miles on the fixed gear today but I had a great time.

Thanks for a great race Rich and Ben and thanks for donating the money to a good cause.

Now the real thing is we need to figure out what tattoo Jakub should get with his gift certificate.

Thanks Rich for an awesome ride on such gorgeous afternoon. I got to my 13th checkpoint at Appomattox/Vicksburg (mile 40) right at the 3 hour cutoff. I guess the checkpoint rolled up at that point.

....and on checkpoint workers you guys get some big kudos for hanging in lonely, random suburban outposts for hours...and you did it in style too. I only wish I ordered the hot sauce shot stop *before* the beer stop.

Jakub: whatever protagonist you use for your tattoo, it needs to be carrying a sawed-off shotgun. You don't strike me as a nunchucks kinda guy, but I guess they're pretty fierce in the right hands.
