Kenzie Gleason, LFUCG's bicycle & pedestrian coordinator, spoke to a group at Lexmark today about commuting and Lexington's plans for the future. It was fun to see lots of LexRides friends in her presentation. |

It was probably a lot of the same slides she used in her Bike Summit 2007 presentation, which had lots of photos from our Flickr group page.
Back when all that happened, Andy Clark from the League of American Bicyclists was pretty impressed by how well documented our bike scene was. Stuff like that shows how healthy the culture of bikes is here in Lexington, even though most people have no idea... _________________ ------------[] O |

In fact he also mentioned that is was the community events and community that we were building that really pushed us over the edge. I don't remember the exact words (was a little sleep deprived being a new papa) but it was an awesome feeling to know that the fun things we do are actually helping to make the community a better place. |
