Its been on the mailing list but not on here. I'm not in charge, but the Sierra parade entry is open to all people on bikes again.
Seriously, freakbikes. And not just me and Robert this time.

Blah blah blah... it has not always been you and Robert :)
Here is the original email from Dave Cooper... the 4th parade is a lot of fun but really damn hot. It is fun because we can jump in and out at various points.
It is all about showing the community at large that bikes are visual in the community and various types of cyclists.
Saturday July 4 @ 1:00
The Bluegrass Sierra Club invites all Central Kentucky cyclists to ride your bikes in the Lexington Fourth of July parade and show support for healthy environmentally-friendly transportation in the Bluegrass.
We will meet at 1:00 on Saturday July 4 in front of the Lexington Herald-Leader building downtown (corner of Main and Midland). Last year we had over 100 cyclists, and everyone is welcome to join us including little kids and families, serious bikers, Alley Cats, bike polo players, recumbents, yellow bikers, bike couriers, cruisers, pizza delivery bikers and little old ladies wearing white tennis shoes (and bike helmets).
Decorate your bike if you want with stuffed animals, boomboxes, streamers, baseball cards in your spokes, stickers, christmas lights, old furniture off the curb or Michael Bolton CDs but please wear a helmet.
Thousands of people will cheer for you. Its fun I promise. See you there - Dave

Ok, ok, I left Robert off the list last time I did a freakbike post, so I thought I'd single him out this time. You have to admit he may be the freakiest of the lot of us.
What's the status of Tim's suicide chopper? Please tell me it got welded or at least bolted together better. |

I took the pink bike apart to use the wheels and bottom bracket on my still-needs-welded 3 stack mini-tall, so I'll probably be repping skully/gears of war on the flag pole tandem. |

Traditionally I have been a non-participant in the 4th of July parade, opting to curb my freakiness under some tree in Phoenix Park. I would encourage all who feel like trackstanding around the parade route while I drink beer to give it a go... _________________ All you NEED is a one speed......... |
