I'm looking for a lower-rake fork to put on a 27" wheel bike to increase its stability for riding with a loaded front end. Right now the handling is very sketchy and I think a lower-rake fork would help since the rake on mine is around 65-70 mm.

Can anyone help me out? I know there's one out there somewhere.

consider a rigid 29er fork? wouldnt be pretty though.

I need a 1" steerer, preferably threaded so I wouldn't need a new headest and stem as well, so 29er forks are probably out of the question. It also has to have rack or fender mounts or it is as good as garbage to me.

i've got a fork from an old fixie you are more than welcome to. it looks like the rake is fairly low. no idea on the specific measurements.

i'm probably going to scrap the frame unless anybody wants it. all the braze-ons have been removed and a drop out is slightly bent. it looks slick and it totally functional. it would serve great as a small-medium sized fixie frame.

it's a Ross frame from the late 70's. nothing special, but totally functional. she was my first fixie a few years ago. i've painted it blue with a white fork, but could easily take a fresh color. i had to special order the seatpost so i'd hate to see it go to waste. whoever wants it can have it.
