Just in case you missed this in Tim's post from a few days ago...

Those who want to ride out to the race at Veteran's tomorrow morning - we're meeting at Shoppers' Village Liquor on High/Tates/Euclid at 10:15am and we can ride out there with beer and whatever else we want to take.

I'm dressing for warmth as well as ridiculousness... come prepared to get rowdy. We're not going to be playing grass polo out there like we did last year, though.

Polo at Coolavin is still on for tomorrow (2-3ish) as long as it's not pouring rain, so if you want to do both, you can still fit the two in.

Fan-damn-tastic time at the race yesterday.

Thanks go out to Todd Paul, Bill, Greg, Beth, etc anyone who had anything to do with the races yesterday.

I do think the racing community needs to step up their energy as spectators... we can't continue to be the only drunk and obnoxious people around :)

yeah it wasnt very rowdy yesterday. i blame it on the weather. However, there were a few guys in costume to add the fun. Elvis, beer keg, and a karate instructor or something.

oh and while I'm at it...Can you believe how nice some of the bikes were? I mean I know spandex riders enjoy being flashy and shaved and carbon but jesus! Some of the guys and girls had bikes worth more than my car riding in the damn mud. Yes, I know that is the point of cyclocross. How much money do some of these riders make to be able to afford multiple high end bikes? I could care less what my bike looks like or weighs, and you can probably tell but even some of the juniors were even rolling some high dollar stuff. what gives?

Yeah, it's hard to get rowdy when you have 4 layers of clothing on and you're still freezing your balls off. Still, I think crashing the party with your own keg in the back of a truck is pretty rowdy.

Brad pulled up with a keg in the back and told the volunteers that he was the "beer truck" and they were like, "Right this way, Sir".

Sorry to those of you who got there late and missed the free beer.

About the bikes... that's to be expected. Go take a look at any club ride and you'll find 300 lb. dudes riding 16 lb. frames that cost more than a Corolla. On the other hand, we were checking out some of the pit bikes, and they were pretty damn sweet... one was a rusted, bare metal custom frame with pink Deep V's.

Hey guys,

I sincerely appreciate you guys coming out...sincerely.

While the barrels were a total bust and much needed (I won't name names), you guys added a ton of energy on a day where conditions/temps chipped away at the racers motivation. You be surprised how far that goes. I know it helped me.

I hope you guys take part next time and I would love to offer my bike to anyone that wants to give it a go. I am really proud to know most of you, and seeing you guys there was really great. Thanks and next year, either we hold the race a little earlier in the series schedule, or barrels (KY or fire) will offer warmth...I PROMISE!

Thanks again,
Greg

No bueno. Wrapped my chain, ran to the pit for assistance, fixed it then blew to bits trying to get back in. Still fun though..sort of.

Thanks man!
