Should we have a meeting of the usual suspects for beer and float planning this week?

Have at it. I am strapped for time so I can't commit to being at anything.
Brian Ronk is who we got the trailer from last year. The hookups are in Wildcat Wheels BL and go to the green trike.

Are you gonna be the point guy on this Logan?

I talked with Lori Houlihan from Isle of You this morning, and she is in charge of organizing the "community marching band" (think back to the Lexington Mardi Gras parades from years past) - which is entering the parade in support of Local First Lexington (a new local organization of which I am a board member; in full disclosure). Her idea was to assemble something along the lines of a circus punk marching band, like Mucca Pazza.

so, Lori has requested that the Local First marching band be placed directly in front of the bike parade, which will be cool for us! That means we won't have some lame-ass corporate float, local media huckster or politician that we'll have to follow behind.

Sweet, she and I talked about it last week and she was going to check it out.

If this is the case then I won't worry about the sound system this year. Would hate to drowned them out with punkcarrols

yeah, I think we can go without the sound system this year, and let the sounds of the marching band be our soundtrack.

I referenced Mucca Pazza in my previous post. For those of you unfamiliar with them, check this out:

Last time I was in charge of a parade it was kinda disasterous.

If we have the band in front, and no need for PA, I like the idea of everyone attaching the biggest gift wrapped box possible to their bike.

We'll all be two wheel'd elves, yo.

If someone wanted to build this, that'd be good too:
