On Friday, October 3rd, The Dame will once again be a part of Lexington's music scene. We will be located at 367 E. Main St., the east building of the Main Street Live complex.

The Dame will have its own entrance and will be providing all of the entertainment in both the concert venue and dance club. As of now, it looks like 100% of our staff will be returning to work at our new location.

We are saddened by the demolition of our original location, but we at The Dame welcome the opportunity to work with owners of Main Street Live to continue bringing the best in quality live music to downtown Lexington!

I'll now open the floor to questions.....

it'd be hard to top the original Guided By Voices opening, but I'd love to see another big draw kick it off again.

Fantastic! Since you're next door to Thoroughbred Park, I now have a more grand fountain to cool my overheated dance-fueled terribly sexy body.

Speaking of sexy people, did you guys sponsor that 80s disco party on the old courthouse lawn? I was walking dogs through the beginning and you talk about crazy cool fun...that's it.

Oh please baby jesus, let the Dame open with Hank III and Nashville Pu$$y. This town needs more fire. More guitar. And more debauchery.

How 'bout gettin' them boys from pontius copilot together to open up for Robert Pollard? Talk about rockin'; Was this earlier thread comparing Ween to GBV? I can't figure that out, but I can't think of any other show I regret missing in Lexington than GBV at the Dame, except Soul Asylum at Linden Smith's old bar on Limestone (near where Triple Crown Lounge was) in 1988. I saw them with Husker Du in earlier years and they rocked! Cheers to the Dame's revival and Lexington's continued waxing and waning club scene that resurrects itself!

no, I wasn't comparing ween to gbv. I was, however, pointing out the one thing they have in common, both bands make lame music.
