That's always been my problem with getting into galleries, I don't want to start working on things until I know where they're going, but you can't get booked (and rightly so) without something to show them.

what about alternative venues such as als or the dame or stellas that arent typically in gallery hop? they have always been pretty supportive of the bike community, so it would be cool to figure out a way to bring them in some more business maybe?

It looks like this thread has been dormant for a while, but did the Bike Art gallery hop event ever take place? If there's still interest, I'm pretty sure I can secure a venue downtown.

I work out of Awesome Inc, on Main St across from Dunkin Donuts. In addition to office space, we have an art gallery, and were part of last weeks' gallery hop. As we have indoor bike parking, and the owners are commuter cyclists, I think they'll be receptive.

Additionally, a bike art event might make for a good fundraiser for the new community bike shop.

There was a small bike themed gallery show at UK a while back, but it wasn't a lexrides thing, though several of us had pieces in it.
