For fuck sake, I mean Jesus Christ, these are the two choices!
This week Senator McConnell led a fiibuster against the Warner-Leiberman Act, a terribly flawed first attempt at climate change legislation.
His opponent, Bruce Lunsford, had this to say:
Lunsford said in an interview with the Herald-Leader Friday night before the Democrats' Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner in Lexington that he wouldn't vote for such a bill unless it included more federal funding for clean coal technology research.
"I'm a believer in driving business with incentives first and give plenty of time to do it with incentives, then begin to charge" for emissions permits, he said. "This comes down to being a Kentuckian first. I am really big on using federal dollars to create opportunities for coal, whether it be the coal liquification or whether it be to improve clean coal technology." |

"For fuck sake, I mean Jesus Christ" is the ultimate Tim line. good ol' mitch called for a reading on the climate change bill, 492 pages, in order to block all debate on the bill. heck of a guy though. now all we can hope is that mitch will give up his post as minority leader to fill the ned beatty role in the remake of deliverance i for one think he would be perfect on all fours with a couple of red necks lining up behind him _________________ Albert Einstein trembled when he found out time was water. Seeping through the rafters to put out this burning world. |

it's no fault of yours or your parent's political ideals... blame it on politicians with zero integrity. |
