When you have a welder you should always assume it is needed when there is talk about building anything.

Does 11 work for folks?

I'll dig out my copy of the Atomic Zombie freakbike building book. Its a good source for ideas and plans.

whoever did the guerilla advertising downtown today, great idea. will probably do well to attract more families to the group from the downtown business people.

sadly, i dont know if i can make it, i think im going to head to cincinnati with the girlfriend to visit family and for my birthday.

yeah, I saw a bunch of those on bikes downtown. They were Dave Cooper's fliers... not sure who distributed them, though.

Update on our parade group:

just got off the phone with both Dave Cooper (from Sierra Club) and Reid Small from the Void Skateshop... looks like there will be a large group of skateboarders joining us this year. The Void was wanting to get in on the parade action, and Sierra Club extended the invite to them as well.

This should be pretty sweet!

Awesome!

Think there's time to build a quarter pipe bike trailer?

that same thought went through my head, too!

...but then I thought about the skateboard deck that might also go through my head, and thought, "nah, probably not a good idea".

i'm really bummed out that i missed the build. if anyone still has the will to meet up before the parade we could try and coordinate something. i still very much want to weld up some crazy bikes.

while it's not all that crazy, here's my "tiny townie" that I'll be rocking in the parade (thanks to Tedder for letting me appropriate the frame):

With the Triple Crown building coming down today it is likely that there will still be some debris downtown on parade day. If there is any sort of wind Phoenix Park may not be the best place to hang out without a gas mask due to dust mixture of lead paint, asbestos, etc.
