Hi Alleycats,
I've spoken to a Greg Abernathy and Roscoe about this and they said that the best thing to do would be to post here at the forum.
I have had this fantasy for several months now to try to do some sort of event and invite the Louisville Arts, Music & Biking communities over to Lexington...in my fantasy there would be an biking event that would introduce the Louisvillians to our fair city....Isle of You would do an opening for a Louisville artist...and one of the downtown music venues would feature a Louisville based band.
It just so happens that I am hosting an opening for Louisville Artist Anessa Arehart on Saturday June 21st from 4-8. I am in the process of booking a band to play in the parking lot here at the store and Stella's said that they would be open to serve beer etc. I'm wondering if any of you would be interested in organizing some sort of biking event for the day? In the big scheme of things, I'm hoping that we could then get a business in Louisville to host an opening and show for a Lexington artist and for someone in the Louisville biking community to organize a Louisville ride for Lexingtonians.
Of course all of this is based on the assumption that Louisville has an active biking community. I figured ya'll would know better than anybody!
