When I crossed Vaughn's Creek at the Springhill/Bob-O-Link shortcut, I found what was clearly a stolen bike.

It's a blue 10-speed Magna Outreach mountain bike. There was a plastic U-lock holder on the seat tube (sans lock, of course).

The bike was in a ditch that drains into the creek. It was lying on the drivetrain side and the chainguard was severely bent, suggesting that someone stole it, got a flat, and threw it in an out-of-the-way spot. There were some spots of rust, though the chain and other main components were in good shape, which probably means the bike had been abandoned in the ditch only for a few days.

I gave the bike over to the police, in case someone had reported it missing.
