|
|
Ripped off in front of the Fishtank on the corner of Woodland and Eucild. Last night, July 7th.
Circa 1985 gray Fuji 12 speed. It has (or had) aftermarket plastic fenders with pinstripe and a rear rack. There is a small square cut out on the rear fender where an old generator used to go. Also has Fuji stamped cranks and toe clips on the pedals. Black bar tape, the fabric kind, badly worn away around the curves of the bars.
Any leads would be much appreciated!
Thanks a lot,
Nate

Thanks to Lexrides!!!! I found it 15 months later. Less than 25 feet from where I lost it. I rode my other bike out to my usual spot, bike rack under the Lynaghs sign. There it was, locked only to the front wheel, quick realease. I took the lock I had and rode home and got my car. there was a confused looking dude. He was like, someone put a lock on my bike..... Long story short, I showed him my listing here and I got my bike back. |

That's great. Was he the one who stole it, or did he buy it from the thief? |

I really think that this guy was oblivious. Or a very good actor. He said he bought it from a friend. I asked him how much he paid for it, he said "I don't want to say, but not very much." He seemed very concerned/embarassed. He asked me if I coudld prove it. I said absoultely. The old generator notch in the fender sealed the deal. He undid his lock, we shook, and I had my Fuji back. |
