I work for Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, a 29 year old social justice grassroots organization. We are currently hiring part-time electoral organizers to work from now to through the election in early November.
Here is some more information below and a link to apply.
http://www.kftc.org/blog/archive/2010/08/about-kftc/jobs/electoral-organizers
Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is a grassroots social justice organization with over 6,500 members statewide. KFTC is hiring 10-12 electoral organizers to work in different areas of the state for a 10-week, non-partisan voter empowerment campaign. Electoral organizers will work to recruit and train volunteers, lead door-to-door canvassing efforts, and coordinate phone banks to voters between August 30th and November 5th, 2010. Most positions will be part time, 20 hour/week positions, although other role configurations are possible.
Location: We are seeking applications from people to work in: Madison, Rowan, Floyd, Fayette, Jefferson, Warren, Scott, and Perry counties, and possibly other Eastern KY counties. We would consider hiring people to work in areas outside of these areas if there is a compelling case to work there and if we have an exceptional applicant. |
