Last year at the Thriller dance I dressed as a dead zombie bicyclist

I was thinking what if a whole bunch of folks did the Thriller dance this year dressed as dead bicyclist with some kinda sign that said -
"what if I were your son/daughter? Lexington needs more bike lanes"
Not to interrupt Thriller or anything, we would do the dance, etc just a way to raise public awareness for cyclists.

just an idea - what do you folks think?

I thought it was to raise awareness on the perils of plastic surgery / body modification.

ya might be better served with a sign reading "Lexington drivers need to recognize bike lanes more often"

or maybe "bike lanes are not parking lanes" (postal service and LFUCG maintenance, I'm looking in your direction.....)

I like Pat's idea. Some people will get pissy if you are too obvious. Don't hijack the thriller event, just slightly imply to watch for cyclist.

i think you should make fake 'i just got run over by a car' wounds, and drag wrecked bycycles behind you, or like, bumpers from cars that are intertwined w your spokes
