Anybody else think it'd be a good idea to do a bike swap meet on the day of bike lexington or somethin like that? |

definitely, there are some people who could make a lot of money off of me. maybe it could be organized with the return of the farmers market or something? that would encourage the local economy and be very visible. |

I'm wondering if there would even be a better day or not... I mean, it seems like that would be a good time to do it - maybe before or after the 10 mile ride.
Another option would be to piggy-back it onto the Bike Lexington race event, like we had last year (the Friday night before). Does anyone know if that is still going to happen or not? |

Planning for Bike Lexington and Bike Month are about ready to get under way.
I think this is a great idea. PTP did one a few years ago and I got a lot of shit for cheap...although buying used bibbs really is a sick thing.
I think it would be cool to make it a part of something larger...like a bike in movie or party or something.

I was thinking it'd be more difficult for people to get their stuff to and from the main bike lexington event and secure it during the ride, though there would be a lot more potential swappers there.
Doing it at the friday night race, if there is another one, might be logistically better, since people would have more down-time to browse. |

from the chatter I have heard. It sounds like there will be races on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Sunday.
Oh yeah, and someone was concerned that people did not wear helmets during the skid comp...if that ticked their balloon knot then I wonder what they thought about the beer laps. |
